GRANDMOTHER'S LIBRARY: Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

Just finished Bitten. It is so good to have my new contacts!
This Kelley Armstrong novel (which I believe was her first novel) is about Alena, who is quite an anomaly: she is the only female werewolf known to exist.  She is torn between the human world, where she desperately is trying to make a life for herself, and between the world of the pack, where she feels trapped; after all, she was bitten, she wasn't born a werewolf.

Of course there is a love twist. Alena has a human that she loves, but who knows nothing about her. She also has Clay, the werewolf who turned her (whom she was engaged to at the time, but had no idea what he was).  There are some very modest, discreet love scenes, but then there are a couple racy scenes -- no idea why writers feel the need to include some of those details in a book, UGH!

I actually liked the story line, but I do like supernatural thrillers.
